EXAMPLE SENTENCE CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB

  • Then :  If you are sure, then I must believe you.

  • Accordingly :  The boy is sick, accordingly he didn't come to school.

  • Still :  he is very lazy, still he is very smart

  •  Hence : There will be no discussion tomorrow hence it will be held day after tomorrow

  • Likewise :  When there is a trusting relationship likewise positive reinforcement, the partners will be able to overcome difficult situations.

CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB

     These adverb establish a relationship between one sentence or clause and the preceding sentence or clause. Conjunctive adverb indcate such relationship as:
  • result     (therefor, consequently, accordingly, hense, thus)      
          Example:
          - There is fog at Heatrow; therefor, the plane has been diverted.
          - There is very little rain in the region; consequently, we often have crop failure.
          - he put on the fire quickly; thus, a great disaster was avioded.
  • addition    (moreover, besides, in addition, furthermore)
          Example:
          - John is a very lazy student; besides, he always comes late to class.
          - Television is entertaining; furthermore, it is sometimes instructive.
  • contrast    ( however, nevertheless, still )
          Example:
          - They hadn't trained hard; however, they won.
  • condition    ( otherwise )
          Example:
          -We must be early; otherwise, we won't get a seat.
  •  time     (then, meanwhile )
          Example:
          - I will study medicine for six year; tthen. I will be a doctor.
          - I held the dog, meanwhile, my friend washed it.
  • comparison    ( Likewise )
          Example:
          - All of Mrs Peterson's ancestors were robust and long-lived; likewise, she is very healthy at age seventy-five.

The story of American Indian Tribes

       Once upon a time in a land between Siberia and Alaska, a group of people crossing from Siberia to the Americas and mnyebar to the North and South America. They form a group or tribe and named as Apache, Sioux, Cherokee, and Comanche. Tribes have their own tribal language and also have a costume tribal groups as a sign of their tribe. White group calling them an Indian tribe but is now resident Amerka happy mnyebut them as American Indians.
       Before the year 1800, there are many millions of American Indians. They live by hunting, fishing, and farming. Sioux Tribes example survive by hunting buffalo. Buffaloes much needed benefit the Sioux, such as food, clothing, appliances.
In circa 1840s, the white man came to the carriage moves from Europe by land, looking for land on which to settle and gardening. Initially American Indian tribes trying to megusir white groups, but all is not possible, and they provide a vast land to the whites. Since then the tribe is only gaining ground buffalo narrow and also have an increasingly narrow land to breed alive. Hundreds of buffalo shot by hunters to take only the white skin.
       Before the white 1874kelompok almost been completely destroy buffaloes. White farmers were becoming increasingly taking a lot of land and slowly expel American Indian tribes and hey move to a dry, rocky, and no one has lived there before. The tribe was struggling to regain their land holding battle. In the end, it is not surprising that many of the tribe who died in the war. Since then most of them stay in place protection and some move to the United Center.
